St. Augustine provides a special ministry for our children from Kindergarten through high school. After the opening prayer at our Sunday Mass we call them forward and offer a special blessing for them as we dismiss them to engage in a reflection on the Sunday Readings with trained catechist at their particular age level. The children then rejoin the Faith community at Offertory time for the rest of the Mass. If you are interested in working with our children in reflecting on God's Word and its meaning for them, call the Church Office at 274-0655. We work to limit our catechists having to be absent from the regular Liturgy of the Word to not more than once a month.
